I apologize to those of you who were able to watch the game. I had scheduled the Gamethread to post at 1pm today (March 4th) but for some reason it did not publish. I had a lot on my plate with work and personal stuff so I was not able to check in and see STP today.

The Lady Raiders (12-17, 3-15 Big12) will head to the “Big12 Phillips 66 Women’s Basketball Championship Tournament” at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City on Friday March 4, 2016 to take on the Iowa State Cyclones (13-16, 5-13 Big12) at 6pm CST. Texas Tech beat the Cyclones in January in a tight fought game that went into Overtime in Lubbock but then the Lady Raiders lost by 29 points in February in Ames, IA. These two teams have always played each other tough and this season has not been any different. I am hoping the Lady Raiders use the momentum from the well played game against OU this past Tuesday and pull out a win in the first round of the tournament. The Lady Raiders need to do their best to play a clean game as the Cyclones are very accurate at the charity-stripe (75.7% FT%). Where Tech might be able to make up some ground is making 3-Pointers, as Iowa State can make the 3-Ptrs but are poor in defending them (34.6% 3-Pt Defense). The Lady Raiders need to be aggressive on the boards and in-the-paint. If Tech can play well all four quarters, they have a shot at beating Iowa State.
Focus on the game at hand
Get the Win ….. Wreck’Em !!!!
Improvement is the word this season.
