Strong Start for Track and Field. Via the official site, the track and field team got off to a good start in Arkansas yesterday at the Arkansas Invitational.
“It was a good start to the season,” head coach Wes Kittley said. “I was proud of how we competed and handled the travel getting here. Chris Caldwell, Trey Culver, Brandon Bray and our 4×400 team all got performances that will be ranked high in the nation. Also, Shanice Stewart will be a top qualifier for us in the long jump.
“Overall, it was a great learning process for so many of our young kids.”
Golfers Vying for Masters Berth. Webb Visits Colorado, to Visit Auburn. Via FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman, Texas Tech graduate transfer QB Davis Webb was in Colorado this weekend and will take an official visit to Auburn in February. Good luck and I hope he finds the right spot for him.

Top 300 for Miller. Scout has Houston Miller in the top 300 of recruits and has been given 4th star. This is so strange because Rivals has Miller as a 2-star. I’m not sure I get Rivals’ rating of Miller, highly productive and good size for a high school athlete and good measurables, a 4.67 40-yard dash. Anyway, here’s Miller:
“I talked to coach Gibbs about it [versatility] multiple times but most recent at his in home visit. With the recent changes in staff we do not intend on there being a change in the personnel or how the defense is run… He says he intends for me to stand up and play or play with my hand on the ground. He said ‘I really just want you to play like you play’. So that’s what I’m going to do…” Miller said to RaiderPower.com.
