The Player Speaks: Nothing for free.
RELATED: 2016 DT Nick McCann Commits to Texas Tech
Scouting Report: Bruh. A 290 pound defensive end in high school is nothing short of amazing (Because most high school players don’t even care about containment and just want to go hit someone. It ain’t easy being patient.) and the reason why is that McCann is so good at setting the edge and staying at home. That’s not easy. So he’s dominating at the defensive end spot and does allow us to see McCann’s athleticism at rushing the edge. McCann has size and strength, although I’ll be interested to see how quickly that strength translates inside, but he has fantastic quickness off the ball and really nice lateral quickness. His ability to chase down opponents in the backfield is pretty impressive.
