Out of the Limelight. DMN’s Chuck Carlton writes that the offseason for Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury has been intentionally quiet. I don’t think this is anything necessarily new for us, but maybe for others. In any event, Kingsbury said that he and the team are just working:

“We’re just grinding,” Kingsbury said. “None of us were happy with the way things worked out. It’s kind of a decision with the way things went last year. We want a workmanlike attitude.”

Kingsbury also said that he’s hoping that the offseason changes that have been made benefit the team moving forward:

“It’s one of those offseasons that we definitely took a closer look at what we’re doing as a program and we’ve addressed it,” Kingsbury said. “After the spring, I was very encouraged. I can’t wait to get to fall camp and see how we’ve improved.”

Miscellaneous. LAJ’s Don Williams writes about the potential of an early signing period, which looks like it is going to happen . . . Wreck’Em 24/7’s Michael Labarre has his Possible Red Raiders and the site continues to have auto-play video, so be forewarned . . .
