Announcing the Jimmy Jay Scholarship Endowment

The family of Staking The Plains is very proud to announce the Jimmy Jay Football Scholarship Endowment. For those of you who don’t know, blackbeard, Paul Jay, has been a member of DTN, VTM and now, Staking The Plains, and his father, Jimmy Jay, played football for Texas Tech from 1939 through 1942.

Jimmy passed away on October 12, 2013 and it was Paul’s mission (and that of his family) to have a scholarship endowed for his father:

Dad was a huge fan of Texas Tech, a proud Red Raider and was ever to grateful for his football scholarship and the opportunities his education at Tech afforded him throughout his lifetime. On behalf of three generations of Red Raiders, we are certain he is proud to “pass it forward” and allow future Red Raiders the same opportunity .

I am very proud to be the person that has the honor and privilege to announce the Jimmy Jay Scholarship Endowment.

If you are so inclined, you can donate online here or you can mail any donation the the address below, but please make sure and note in the memo of your check “Jimmy Jay Football Scholarship Endowment”:
