Baylor is not the best hitting team, only hitting .260 for the year and they’re a light-hitting team as well, with only 5 home runs on the year. The Bears also have the second worst ERA in the Big 12 at 5.12 for the year. Castano, the Friday night starter, is, by far, the best pitcher for Baylor.
Texas Tech needs to win this series, much like the Kansas series. The Red Raiders will hit the road @ Kansas State, @ Texas and finally @ West Virginia. There is a home series mixed in there against Oklahoma State. Ideally, Texas Tech needs to sweep the series, but that may be too much to ask at this point. Texas Tech again has TBA for the Sunday starter and that means Dylan Dusek is most likely still out. It’s been a long time since he’s pitched.
