Texas Tech senior Matias Dominguez recorded a 4-over 76 in the first round of The Masters on Thursday. Dominguez said after the first round that he didn’t give himself enough birdie opportunities:
“I didn’t give myself a lot of birdie chances,” Dominguez said. “But I made a lot of ups and downs that kept me in competition. Tomorrow, it’s going to be based on going for more pins and playing a little bit more aggressive so that I can give myself more birdie opportunities.
Dominguez talked about his hole-in-one in the par-3 contest:
