Texas Tech wins their second game, in walk-off fashion, 6-5, moving their record to 10-1 and now, the team heads to California to take on Cal-State Fullerton. This was a 16 inning affair and 4 hours and 42 minutes and it was a Ryan Long hitting a double into left field scoring Hunter Hargrove to get the win.

Texas Tech let ACU get out to an early lead, as ACU scored 3 runs in the 3rd inning, but Texas Tech would come right back and score 2 in the 4th inning and 2 in the 5th inning, while Texas Tech would give the lead back in the 7th inning and the game would stay tied until the 16th inning. ACU would score a run in the bottom of the 16th inning and here comes your Red Raiders. Quinn Carpenter is hit by a pitch, while Tim Proudfoot lays down a bunt moving Carpenter to second. Hunter Hargrove pinch hits for Tyler Floyd, who singles up the middle scoring Carpenter. Ryan Long pinch hits for Zach Davis and doubles to left field scoring Hargrove and . . . game over!

Ty Damron got the start, but he only lasted 2.2 innings, allowing all three of those early runs, walking 1, striking out 3. Texas Tech went through a handful relief pitchers, Corey Taylor pitches 3.1 innings, not allowing a run and only 1 hit, while Parker Mushinski allowed the run in the 7th to let ACU tie the game. Dominic Moreno pitched 4 innings, allowing only 2 hits, walking 2 and striking out 7 and Dylan Duske pitched 3 innings, who also didn’t allow a run, while striking out 2 and walking 2. Jacob Patterson would allow the lone run in the 16th inning, while Jonathan Tripp would finish out the game and earn the win.

Offensively, Cory Raley was 4 for 7 and Tanner Gardner was 2 for 4. Ryan Long obviously has the biggest RBI of the day, but Tyler Neslony also has an RBI along with 3 walks, Quinn Carpenter gets an RBI, as does Tim Proudfoot and Hargove.
